Weather or not to play croquet today:

News Update
20th June 2010:  Bamburgh hosted its first ever competition today - a friendly tie between the home side and teams from Edinburgh and Croquet North.  And what a day it was!  On a gloriously sunny day, the Bamburgh team comprising Allan Hawke, Fergus McInnes, John Woodman, Keith Whitfield and Jamie Edgar won all of their matches to record an emphatic win.  There may have been a touch of home advantage, but we are very grateful to the teams from Edinburgh and Croquet North who made the journey for the event which was such a milestone in the development of the Bamburgh club.  As Roger Staples from CN said "The weather was kind and the competition furious on occasions, always tempered with humour as the occasional Barnes-Wallis shot went wide of its target!"  Local catering made for an excellent lunch and, once again, we thank all who competed in the event to make this a very special occasion for the club.

30th April 2010:
We're all set!  Lawn setting of our two full-size lawns has been completed today.  There is also one half-lawn (formed by dividing one of the full lawns) for those who might find the full-size lawns a bit daunting at the beginning.  Thanks to the cricketers for cutting and rolling the grass in preparation!

23rd March 2010:  The dates for the coaching course for 2010 have been finalised as per the table below.  Members are welcome to attend either or both of the sessions on each afternoon.  Further details can be found in the March 2010 Newsletter under Downloads.
